The Johannesburg Tourism
Company was one of the three organisations exhibiting at
the 12th Annual South African International Trade
Exhibition (SAITEX), last week, to be awarded the
prestigious Rainmaker Award. "This is one of our brand
new and most sought-after award categories because it
really highlights those participants who go the extra
mile," says Lesley Perkes, SAITEX Show Manager.
"Being recognised as a
Rainmaker is no small feat and the Johannesburg Tourism
Company received theirs because they started working
with us over a year ago, and, as a result, delivered a
great Welcome Desk at Johannesburg International
Airport, a much-needed service for the thousands of
foreigners coming into the country for the exhibition.
And then, to top it all, they were the only organisation
at SAITEX to offer a professional Business Centre
service, ensuring that all other exhibitors and visitors
were able to access online facilities and all the other
fundamentals required by a mobile office while they were
at the show. Providing critical service is a very smart
way to expose potential tourists to our beautiful city.
They made me proud to be a citizen and they did it with
such style ... their business centre at SAITEX was
practical and good-looking!
